| Goodbye Canada |
living in Toronto
What I’ll miss…
…eating in a funny, large exchange student group in the student centre,
…meeting people you know everywhere,
…professors who know your name,
…meeting people in class every week,
…being a citizen of a multicultural city,
…saying ‘I’m sorry’ if I don’t want to understand what someone is saying,
…open people who just talk to you,
…kidding professors,
…my sweet, young first year students,
…travelling,
…the idea of ‘living your own life and let others live their lives’,
…cheating in written assignments,
…the HOOPS,
…talking about different cultures,
…Wal Mart shopping,
…the huge shopping malls,
…my Canadian friends,
…my Chinese Wok food,
…professors who say ‘Alexandra, if you don’t understand, then I really have a problem’,
…professors who say ‘I am so glad that you are in this course’,
…funny car trips to New York,
…cheesecake,
…my exchange students group!
What I won’t miss…
…the food at the student centre,
…writing stupid 5% assignments,
…contribution marks,
…people whose only sense of life is party,
…people who don’t understand my jokes,
…presentations with too many animations,
…professors talking about nothing,
…the slow public transportation system,
…high air fares,
…people who aren’t able to drive,
…having no kitchen,
…living in residence,
…expensive campus stuff,
…slow working,
…students who study the whole weekend,
…university’s administration,
…groups with bad habits,
…group assignment which are actually individual assignments done by me for all,
…boring parties,
…’pseudo-cool’ Canadians,
…bad beer!
